2025 Cat + Plant Calendar: Meet the cats!

2025 Cat + Plant Calendar: Meet the cats!

I wanted to do something a little different this year for the 2025 cat + plant calendar... meet the cats! In the past few years, I've posted a handful of IG posts about the calendar art and the kitties that inspired them but I wanted a longer form post introducing y'all to the kitties that became the calendar meow-dels! As well as the plants they're paired with.

**Please keep in mind... many of the plants they're posed with are not the most cat friendly! This is a cute calendar and I pick plants that I want to paint. So please don't go sticking your cat into a random planter without double checking the plant is safe for your kitty friend ;)

January, February & March

  • Meet Titus, a handsome orange tabby who's paired with a Snake Plant! He belongs to my talented friend Sam Kirner. She makes such fun sun catchers and is just all-around a super crafty person.
  • The two fluffy grey and white bebes are Potato and Chips! They're paired with a Pink Princess Philodendron. These cuties belong to KB from Calliope Paperie
  • Meet Haroun! This handsome guy is paired with a Cast Iron Plant and belongs to Andrew the Cat Photographer

April, May & June

  • Meet these two siblings, Miku and Gravy, with one of my favorites... a Spider Plant! They're part of an adorable quartet of cats over on IG
  • This fluffy tuxedo boy is Skaboolian, paired with a Stromanthe Triostar, belongs to Chad... aka Bachelor Clues, the host of one of my favorite podcasts Game of Roses.
  • These adorable void and tuxedo cats are paired with a Variegated Shell Ginger Plant. They belong to Paloma from Our Favorite Things Shop

July, August & September

  • This little spicy fluffy Manx Tort is Stella! She's actually a family cat that lived at my mom's house. She was such a spicy drooly bebe. She's paired with a Ric Rac Cactus.
  • Meet little Cardi, a cute calico that belongs to Jessie of Root & Branch Paper Co. She's paired with a Phlebodium Aureum Blue Star (I hadn't heard of this plant before but the leaves were too fun to resist).
  • This handsome boy is named Lenny, and he's actually a street cat that lives near a restaurant we love in LA! He's so beloved in the area, he has his own IG account. He's paired with a Pencil Cactus.

October, November & December

  • Meet Choco (his sibling Mochi made an appearance last year) a handsome black cat hiding in a Banana Palm!
  • This fluffy orange cat is named Tron! He's so stinking cute, I love seeing him pop up on Joy the Baker's IG. He's hiding in a ZZ Plant (another personal favorite plant of mine).
  • And completing the new tradition for the 3rd year, my own Torbie girls Ginger and Babka are ending the year with another plant favorite, Tradescantia Zebrina (aka the Inch Plant or Wandering Jew).
